Job Title: Construction Technician

Job Description

The Construction Technician is responsible for executing trenchless pipe rehabilitation work in commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal environments. This hands-on role includes the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), conducting robotic branch work, operating inspection equipment, performing pipe cleaning and milling, and installing other pipe rehabilitation systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform trenchless pipe rehabilitation work including CIPP lining, pipe cleaning, descaling, and milling.
  • Assist with liner preparation, wet-out, inversion or pull-in-place installation, curing, and finishing.
  • Operate inspection cameras and related equipment to document pipe conditions before and after rehabilitation.
  • Safely operate tools, pumps, generators, compressors, and other job-specific equipment.
  • Set up and break down job sites, including hoses, cables, access points, and containment areas.
  • Follow job plans, technical procedures, and direction from crew leads and supervisors.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of mechanical aptitude, either through job experience or personal hobbies.
  • Willingness to become OSHA certified and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Ability to pass MVR and possess reliable transportation.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in construction is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in commercial and industrial environments, both in new builds and pre-existing structures. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for 5-10 hours of overtime weekly. Technicians report to the shop daily and travel with other technicians to job sites. Some jobs may require 1-2 days overnight stays, with lodging covered via per diem.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
