Job Title: Commercial Carpenter

Job Description

Job seekers with carpentry experience are encouraged to apply to join a commercial carpentry team committed to excellence. All work is in the Fargo/Moorhead/Horace market, no overnight travel. The schedule consists of four 9‑hour days from Monday through Thursday, with a half day on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble high-end kitchen and bathroom cabinets according to provided plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Install cabinet hardware, including hinges, pulls, and handles, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform repeatable assembly tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality throughout the project.
  • Assist with cabinet installation activities when needed, following guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Handle, move, and position cabinets and related components safely within the apartment units.
  • Use basic hand tools and power tools appropriately and safely during assembly and installation work.
  • Inspect assembled cabinets and hardware for defects or misalignment and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring materials and tools are stored properly.
  • Follow all safety procedures and site guidelines while working inside the apartment building.
  • Collaborate with other crew members and communicate clearly to meet project timelines and daily production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience as a construction laborer or in a similar hands-on role involving physical work.
  • Ability to assemble cabinets and hardware by following written instructions, drawings, or verbal directions.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, consistent assembly and installation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliability and punctuality to meet the scheduled work hours from Monday through Friday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with high-end cabinet assembly is a strong plus and may lead to more involvement in installation work.
  • Prior experience working on construction or renovation projects in residential or multifamily settings.
  • Enjoyment of repeatable, task-focused work in a structured environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and take direction from supervisors and experienced installers.
  • Basic understanding of job site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety guidelines.

Work Environment

The schedule consists of four 9‑hour shifts from Monday to Thursday and a half day on Fridays, offering a predictable workweek. The setting is a typical active construction or renovation site, where adherence to safety guidelines and appropriate work attire, such as durable clothing and closed-toe footwear, is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
