Position Title: Launchpad Marketing & Community Lead

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Potential Extension/Conversion: High potential for extension or full-time conversion

Job Type: Part-Time (20–25 Hours per Week)

Pay Range: $65/hr -$70/hr on W2

Must be comfortable working Pacific Time with occasional support for Eastern Time meetings.


About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Launchpad Marketing & Community Lead to provide maternity leave coverage for a key community and engagement role. This individual will lead the execution of startup-focused events, manage the Launchpad founder community, support venture capital partnerships, and drive operational excellence across marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B marketing, event management, startup ecosystems, community engagement, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination. This role requires someone who can operate independently, manage multiple workstreams, and maintain strong communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Events & Campaign Management

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of startup-focused events, executive dinners, networking breakfasts, and flagship events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, registration, attendee communications, vendor management, and onsite execution.
  • Support major company events and startup ecosystem activations.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and partner teams to ensure successful campaign alignment and execution.
  • Manage event timelines, deliverables, and post-event follow-up activities.

Community Management

  • Own day-to-day operations of the Launchpad founder community on Slack.
  • Create and publish engaging community content, announcements, resources, and event promotions.
  • Coordinate monthly office hours and virtual programming.
  • Monitor community engagement metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Provide member support, moderation, and engagement initiatives.

Venture Capital & Ecosystem Partnerships

  • Support outreach and relationship management with venture capital firms, startup accelerators, and ecosystem partners.
  • Maintain partnership pipelines, activity trackers, and follow-up processes.
  • Assist with co-marketing initiatives, newsletters, community features, and partner events.
  • Help expand program visibility through strategic ecosystem relationships.

Reporting & Operations

  • Maintain campaign, registration, and partnership tracking systems.
  • Prepare weekly status updates and executive reporting.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and performance reporting.
  • Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency across all initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B Marketing, Community Management, Event Marketing, Field Marketing, or Startup Programs.
  • Proven experience managing events from planning through execution.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience using Slack, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with startup, venture capital, or entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing founder, executive, or customer communities.
  • Salesforce ecosystem experience.
  • Experience working with startup founders, investors, accelerators, or venture capital firms.
  • Experience supporting executive-level audiences including Founders, CXOs, and Investors.
  • Knowledge of marketing campaign operations and reporting.
