Robert Half is seeking a Client Solutions Director to join our Management Resources practice, focused on expanding project-based consulting services across Finance & Accounting, HR, Operations, and Business Systems/Transformation.


This is a true business development role where success is driven by consistent outbound outreach, strong local networking, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.


What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business through outbound outreach – including cold calling, targeted prospecting, and consistent follow-up
  • Build relationships through networking events, industry involvement, and local market presence
  • Develop partnerships with the C-Suite, Directors, and business leaders across your territory
  • Identify and qualify project-based consulting needs (interim leadership, transformation, system initiatives)
  • Convert initial outreach into long-term client relationships and repeat engagements
  • Collaborate internally to deliver high-level consulting talent and solutions
  • Stay informed on market trends and hiring dynamics to lead value-driven conversations


What We’re Looking For

We are targeting one of two core profiles for success in this role:

1. Sales / Business Development Professionals

  • 5+ years in B2B sales, staffing, or professional services
  • Proven success with cold calling, pipeline generation, and closing new business
  • Strong ability to build relationships from scratch and grow a territory


2. Accounting / Finance / Systems Professionals (with client-facing experience)

  • Background in Accounting, FP&A, Finance Transformation, ERP/Systems, or consulting
  • Experience working with or advising senior finance leaders (CFO, Controller,etc.)
  • Interest in transitioning into a business development / client solutions role


Core Skills for Success

  • Comfortable with high outbound activity and proactive outreach
  • Strong presence in networking and client-facing environments
  • Ability to earn trust quickly and develop long-term relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPA or MBA is a plus


Compensation & Structure

  • Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
  • Base range: ~$70K – $90K+ (depending on experience)
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite to start
  • Earnings driven by activity, relationships, and results
