Job Title: Buyer II

Pay Range: $30 to $38/hr

Location: North Reading, MA

Duration: 06+ Months - Temp to perm with the right candidate

Description: Key Job Responsibilities

• Purchasing materials and equipment from suppliers, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCB assemblies, hardware, and non-inventory items.
• Managing supplier relationships and KPIs reported to senior Supply Chain leadership.
• Providing inputs to monthly scorecards and presenting procurement data during quarterly business reviews.
• Planning material requirements, managing inventory levels, managing schedules in our ERP system, and successfully communicating these requirements to suppliers.
• Identifying supply chain material risks and providing transparent monitoring of material flow.
• Working collaboratively with Planning to communicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies to end users.
• Developing efficient and accurate mechanisms for monitoring and updating open purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
• Assisting the Global Commodity Management team with maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, addressing supply issues, and developing new products and programs.
• Resolving PO receiving errors and assisting with invoice reconciliation.
• Managing supplier returns, including non-conformance reports, return material authorizations, and processing MRB material.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and leading cross-functional groups to execute improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. An understanding of data management and databases is also a plus.

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a highly demanding yet collegial environment where teamwork is essential.
