Buyer II
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12+ months
Pay Rate: $28-32/hr
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer II to support purchasing operations for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing procurement activities for spare parts, assemblies, and components while working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders for parts, assemblies, and components
- Review and analyze vendor quotes, parts lists, and procurement data
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate supplier bids based on price, delivery, quality, and terms
- Manage open purchase orders to drive supplier performance and delivery timelines
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews
- Lead supplier meetings and support ongoing business reviews
- Partner with internal teams to support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Generate reports, metrics, and procurement strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of purchasing experience, ideally with a focus on logistics or supply chain
- Experience working with manufacturing documentation (BOMs, specifications, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry
