As the Benefits & Leave Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring benefit and leave programs are administered accurately, compliantly, and with a strong focus on employee experience. You’ll serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while partnering closely with HR, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee leave requests from intake through return to work
- Respond to employee and manager questions regarding benefits, eligibility, and leave options
- Ensure benefits and leave programs are administered in compliance with FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, and applicable state regulations
- Track leave cases, documentation, and approvals to maintain accuracy and timeliness
- Partner with third‑party vendors to resolve benefits and leave administration issues
- Maintain accurate records and update HR systems related to benefits and leave activity
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance reviews as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ year of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or HR operations
- Working knowledge of employment and benefits regulations such as FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
- Clear, professional communication skills when working with employees and leadership
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (Not Required)
- Experience with Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave (WA PFML)
- Exposure to self‑funded health plans
- CEBS certification or benefits‑focused training

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
