System Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a contract job with a client in Bonita Springs, FL.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $48/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

(Job Title) job responsibilities include:

• Manage file transfer systems and related infrastructure
• Work closely with vendors / system engineers for integrations and support
• GoAnywhere MFT (Managed File Transfer)

Description

The Systems Administrator responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security.

To be successful as a Systems Administrator, he or she should have an excellent ability to solve problems using an in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions as well as present options of such problems to management. The best Systems Administrator will also be a highly motivated, self-starting team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Acquisition & Deployment

• Deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
• Implement defensive security controls for AWS, Office365, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, and servers.
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
• Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
• Experience with security principles and general software management best practices.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, and alternative solutions to interested parties of varying technical backgrounds.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to take ownership and complete assigned tasks
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
