Attorney, Civil Litigation (3 to 5 Years Experience)
M&A Law Firm, P.C. | Schaumburg, IL
At M&A Law Firm, P.C., we don’t just litigate cases. We take them to trial.
We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience who wants more than a title and a billing target. This is an opportunity to build real courtroom skill, work directly with experienced trial attorneys, and grow in a firm where strong performance is recognized and advancement is real.
Our firm represents individuals and businesses in civil litigation matters with strategic thinking, careful preparation, and a relentless commitment to results. If you want meaningful responsibility, direct mentorship, substantive litigation work, and a long-term path forward, this is the role to accelerate your career.
What You Will Do
Our matters include business disputes, contract claims, construction-related disputes, real estate-related disputes, and other complex civil litigation.
What We Are Looking For
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Many firms promise hands-on experience and mentorship. Few offer both in a meaningful way.
At M&A Law Firm, P.C., you will work closely with experienced litigators who actually try cases. You will receive practical guidance, direct feedback, and substantive opportunities that help build real advocacy skills. We believe strong litigators are developed through experience, preparation, accountability, and repetition, and that belief shapes how we train our attorneys.
We have also intentionally kept our annual billable requirement lower than many firms. Our target is 1,700 billable hours, which gives attorneys room to prepare thoroughly, take ownership of their matters, and continue developing as litigators.
Compensation and Benefits
-$4,000 after 90 days; $6,000 after 1 year of employment
Hybrid Schedule
After successful completion of onboarding, attorneys in this role are generally eligible for a hybrid schedule depending on court appearances, case demands, and firm needs. We value in-person collaboration, training, and teamwork, while recognizing that flexibility matters.
Growth Path
This is a long-term opportunity for the right attorney. As your skills, judgment, client management ability, and case responsibility grow, so will your opportunities. Attorneys who demonstrate strong legal ability, initiative, sound judgment, and commitment to the firm’s long-term success will have a clear path to advancement, including partnership consideration after five years.
Why Schaumburg
Our Schaumburg location offers easier commuting, convenient parking, and access to courts throughout the Chicago area and surrounding counties, while still offering sophisticated civil litigation work and meaningful courtroom exposure.
If you are looking for a litigation role where you can sharpen your skills, gain substantial hands-on experience, and build a long-term future with a trial-focused firm, we would like to hear from you.
