We are partnering with a highly respected, large national law firm to hire a Debt Finance Associate Attorney for its Chicago office. This position is open due to growth within an established corporate platform.
Responsibilities
- Represent lenders, borrowers, and sponsors in debt finance transactions
- Work on secured lending matters from initial drafting through closing
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing and related transaction documents
- Assist with transaction management, diligence, and issue tracking
- Handle multiple matters simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborate with partners and team members on complex finance matters
Qualifications
- J.D. with strong academic credentials
- 1-5 years of debt finance experience at a large law firm
- Experience with secured lending transactions and deal closings
- Familiarity with drafting finance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
