About the Opportunity


Our client, a Houston-based custom home builder and developer, is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic construction and development environment where accuracy, organization, and strong financial support are highly valued. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, 1-2 years experience in accounts payable processes, and comfortable working in QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process subcontractor and vendor invoices daily in QuickBooks
  • Prepare weekly accounts payable reports to ensure timely payment of all invoices
  • Process checks and/or electronic payments with President/CEO approval
  • Record credit card transactions and cash receipts accurately
  • Scan, organize, and digitize invoices and receipts
  • Assist with annual vendor tax statement preparation (1099s, as applicable)
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation
  • Support general accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR) required

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, or related accounting support role
  • Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise and/or QuickBooks Online strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills
  • Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Typing speed of 40 WPM; 10-key by touch preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; Excel experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Reliable, professional, and able to meet deadlines

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with one rotating Saturday per month
