Accounts Payable Coordinator

About the Opportunity
Our client, a Houston-based custom home builder and developer, is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic construction and development environment where accuracy, organization, and strong financial support are highly valued. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, 1-2 years experience in accounts payable processes, and comfortable working in QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online.

Key Responsibilities
- Process subcontractor and vendor invoices daily in QuickBooks
- Prepare weekly accounts payable reports to ensure timely payment of all invoices
- Process checks and/or electronic payments with President/CEO approval
- Record credit card transactions and cash receipts accurately
- Scan, organize, and digitize invoices and receipts
- Assist with annual vendor tax statement preparation (1099s, as applicable)
- Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation
- Support general accounting and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR) required
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, or related accounting support role
- Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise and/or QuickBooks Online strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills
- Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
- Typing speed of 40 WPM; 10-key by touch preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; Excel experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Reliable, professional, and able to meet deadlines

- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with one rotating Saturday per month
