Location: Richmond, CA

Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 2 days remote, 1 flex day)

Pay: $28–$33/hour

Employment Type: Permanent


Position Overview

A growing food distribution company is seeking a relationship-driven Account Manager to support and grow key customer accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and can effectively manage day-to-day account needs while collaborating cross-functionally with operations and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issue resolution, and ongoing support
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and service enhancements
  • Monitor account activity, track performance, and ensure alignment with client expectations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies, delivery issues, or service concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of account interactions and updates within company systems
  • Proactively build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in account management, customer service, or client-facing roles
  • Experience in food distribution, supply chain, logistics, or related industry preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a high level of responsiveness and ownership
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
