Account Manager
Location: Richmond, CA
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 2 days remote, 1 flex day)
Pay: $28–$33/hour

Position Overview
A growing food distribution company is seeking a relationship-driven Account Manager to support and grow key customer accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and can effectively manage day-to-day account needs while collaborating cross-functionally with operations and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issue resolution, and ongoing support
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and service enhancements
- Monitor account activity, track performance, and ensure alignment with client expectations
- Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies, delivery issues, or service concerns
- Maintain accurate records of account interactions and updates within company systems
- Proactively build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in account management, customer service, or client-facing roles
- Experience in food distribution, supply chain, logistics, or related industry preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a high level of responsiveness and ownership
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
