Mackie Myers is partnering with a Consumer Goods Manufacturing Company on a Warehouse Manager.


Position Overview

The Warehouse Manager is a key member of the operations team, responsible for overseeing all warehouse and distribution activities. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on involvement, focusing on team development, process efficiency, and adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.

Core Responsibilities

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure strong inventory control practices.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, particularly in the handling and flow of raw materials.
  • Optimize the transfer and movement of finished goods from production through shipping.
  • Establish, maintain, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both inbound and outbound processes.
  • Create and enforce safe and efficient load-building practices.
  • Oversee outbound shipping operations, including the load-building process.
  • Manage warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency across receiving and shipping areas.
  • Ensure all operational processes are documented, followed correctly, and continuously updated.
  • Monitor shipping floor productivity, ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Oversee procurement and usage of packing supplies and equipment used in receiving and shipping.
  • Implement systems and procedures to streamline receiving, storage (put-away), and outbound shipment processes.
  • Lead process improvement and reengineering efforts impacting warehouse operations.
  • Track and report key operational metrics, including cost efficiency and throughput performance.
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines as outlined in official documentation.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of warehouse experience; prior leadership experience in a high-volume distribution environment is a plus.
  • Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving history.
  • Certified forklift operator with experience using reach trucks.
  • Strong organizational abilities with a proactive, results-driven work ethic.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Basic computer literacy, including experience with inventory tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and inventory control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across all levels.
  • Capable of following both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Experience with ERP systems (ProcessPro experience is a plus).
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Project, and related tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, team development, and presentation skills.

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in a production/warehouse setting, requiring the use of protective equipment. Employees will be exposed to moving machinery and elevated noise levels.

  • Warehouse equipment: forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates


Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday
