POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the operations team, the Warehouse Manager manages the warehouse/distribution process, including providing hands-on support for the department, training, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Manager’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manages inventory integrity to optimize inventory control.
- Plans and implements initiatives to improve department efficiencies, emphasizing continuous improvement in the movement and flow of raw materials.
- Plans and implements initiatives to manage and improve the movement and flow of finished goods from assembly to outbound load building.
- Ensures standard operating procedures are developed, executed, and updated for inbound and outbound flows.
- Develops load-building standards, following safety guidelines.
- Manages outbound load-building process.
- Manages space layout and utilization of inbound and outbound areas.
- Ensures that standard operating procedures are developed, executed, and updated per guidelines in the assigned areas.
- Manages the efficiency and on-time performance of the shipping floor operations.
- Manages the sourcing, procurement, and use of outbound packing materials and capital equipment for receiving/outbound.
- Develops, monitors, and implements processes to manage inbound receiving, put-away, and outbound shipping effectively.
- Implements and maintains business process reengineering activities that impact inbound and outbound areas.
- Monitors and reports cost and velocity metrics related to shipping floor operations.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations in receiving, put-away, and outbound.
- Follows company policies and practices outlined in the Employee Handbook and applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures as required by the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate (or equivalent) required; Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a warehouse environment; supervisory experience in a fast-paced distribution operation preferred.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Forklift certification and reach truck driving experience required.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP and inventory management.
- Problem solver who can make suggestions for improvements.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to understand verbal and written directions.
- Advanced experience with ERP systems, ProcessPro preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and other appropriate software.
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.

- Shipping Equipment: lift gates, pallet jacks, reach trucks, forklifts.
Essential Physical Tasks:
- Moderate sitting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, and bending.
- Standing and walking for the majority of the day.
- Required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach.
- Driving shipping equipment/vehicles.
- Lifting, moving, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
