Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions through both medical and surgical intervention.
  • Provide preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, and client education.
  • Perform dental procedures and oral health assessments.
  • Collaborate with fellow veterinarians, specialists, and referring providers to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Partner with hospital leadership and support staff to maintain high standards of medical care and client experience.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and training opportunities.
  • Help foster a positive, collaborative, and enjoyable environment for clients, patients, and team members.


Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of Connecticut.
  • 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience preferred.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship and support.
  • Internship training is a plus but not required.
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and client relationship-building skills.
