About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian in Conroe, TX, you will:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans using a problem-oriented medical approach
- Provide preventative care tailored to each patient's lifestyle and needs
- Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and soft tissue surgeries
- Perform dental procedures, including oral examinations, dental radiograph interpretation, and extractions
- Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, ultrasound findings, and other diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Build strong relationships with clients through education and communication
- Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and hospital staff to deliver exceptional patient care
- Participate in case discussions, rounds, and ongoing clinical development
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain
- USDA accreditation or ability to obtain after hire
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable performing anesthesia, routine surgery, and dentistry
- Excellent communication and client-service abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced soft tissue surgery
- Strong interest in dentistry and preventative medicine
- Experience in a fast-paced general practice environment
