Job Description: Value Stream Manager

The Value Stream Manager leads day-to-day activities to deliver daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations of metric performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Value Stream in daily operations and continuous improvement activities, emphasizing the creation of continuous product flow and utilizing pull systems where flow is not currently possible.
  • Work to level the workload and create a foundation for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring standardized work/processes are followed.
  • Implement countermeasures and drive safety improvements, creating a culture that stops to fix problems to get quality right the first time.
  • Instill and maintain a positive, can-do team atmosphere within the Value Stream.
  • Design and direct the work of the functional area, selecting, coaching, and developing the team while setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate.
  • Manage organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development, designing processes for recognizing performance, delivering feedback, and systematically improving performance.
  • Utilize the PDCA process in conjunction with the MDI process to deliver metric results in people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Develop a visual value stream that ensures problems do not remain hidden and perform Leader Standard Work to deliver consistent execution of processes and procedures.
  • Ensure leaders provide effective training and cross-training for employees, including backups from other areas, to assure a continuously smooth-running Value Stream.
  • Develop and execute short and long-range continuous improvement plans to deliver improvements in people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Lead and coordinate the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI).

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience in Value Streaming
  • 5 years of experience in mapping around fabrication and welding environments
  • 5 years of experience in lean manufacturing

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Expertise in continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of value stream mapping
  • Experience with fabrication processes and lean manufacturing
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mukwonago, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
