Job Description
This role supports a full-service concrete operation that specializes in foundations, flatwork, and decorative concrete work. The construction laborer assists with a variety of on-site tasks, including preparing work areas, handling materials, and using hand and power tools to support concrete installation and finishing. The position is physically demanding and requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced construction environment.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a mix of indoor and outdoor settings, with roughly half of the work performed outside and half inside, depending on the project. The day typically starts around 6:00 a.m. at the shop in Olathe, where the crew meets and then carpools to the job site, which varies by project. Work continues until the job is finished for the day, generally between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. An orientation is provided on the first day, and the initial shift may be shorter to allow time for onboarding. The role involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and concrete-related equipment in an active construction environment, with a focus on safety and adherence to OSHA standards. Appropriate construction attire is expected to support safe, comfortable work in changing indoor and outdoor conditions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
