General Laborer

Job Description

This Field Technician role involves traveling to customer sites to cover and secure large stacks of hay bales with heavy tarps. You work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, pulling, climbing, and working at heights. The position offers consistent work for reliable performers, with frequent overtime during peak harvest season.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to cover and secure large stacks of hay bales using heavy tarps.
• Lift, pull, and maneuver heavy tarps throughout the workday.
• Climb on and around stacked hay safely to position and secure tarps properly.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dry conditions.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working at heights and around equipment.
• Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, including repetitive lifting and climbing.
• Adapt to a schedule driven by weather and customer needs, including early mornings, long days, and weekend work during busy seasons.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time and ready to work each day.
• Assist with general labor tasks related to production, agriculture, and construction-type activities as needed.
• Ride in company vehicles between locations and repeat the tarping process at multiple sites during the day.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

You work primarily outdoors in agricultural settings, covering and securing hay stacks in all types of weather, from rain and cold to hot, dry, and dusty conditions. The role involves constant physical activity, including heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights on stacked hay. After completing tarping at one site, you ride in a vehicle with the crew to the next location and repeat the process multiple times per day. Long hours and frequent overtime are common, especially during harvest season, and the schedule is driven by weather and customer needs, with early mornings, extended days, and some weekends required. The overall environment is rugged, fast-paced, and highly physical, suited to someone who prefers active outdoor work rather than an indoor or desk setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moses Lake, WA.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Moses Lake,WA.
