Job Title: TRAVEL Structural Welder

Project located in Fond Du Lac, WI

6+ month contract

32hr and $140 per diem all 7 days

Working 48-60 hours a week

Job Description

Join our dynamic, family-owned custom weld shop, where you will work independently on a diverse range of structural projects. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills in MIG and Flux welding, primarily on steel materials, and occasionally engage in TIG welding. Your work will involve interpreting blueprints and weld symbols to ensure precise and high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and Flux welding primarily on steel materials, varying from 1/4" to several inches thick.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately to complete projects independently.
  • Engage in fabrication and fitting tasks as necessary to meet project specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of welding techniques depending on project needs, including occasional TIG welding.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • DOT experience is a plus

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of custom welding experience utilizing MIG and Flux welding techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience with grinding and material preparation.

Work Environment

Work in a family-owned custom job shop with three locations in Fond du Lac, including a structural weld shop and a powder coat paint shop. The environment is traditional, with a relatively older building that has a unique character.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
