FUNCTION: Product Supply
LOCATION: Cary, North Carolina

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:
- Lead and manage transportation operations across North America to ensure cost-effective, reliable, and compliant product movement from manufacturing sites to distribution centers and customers.
- Optimize carrier performance, freight execution, and network efficiency to support service, cost, and operational excellence objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, external carriers, and logistics partners to maintain high performance, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
Transportation Execution & Monitoring
- Oversee day-to-day transportation activities including load planning, tendering, carrier scheduling, and freight tracking.
- Ensure freight moves on time, within cost targets, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
Carrier Management
- Manage relationships with national and regional carriers; conduct performance reviews and support contract adherence.
- Monitor OTIF, tender acceptance, dwell time, and other KPIs; identify root causes of performance gaps and deploy corrective actions.
Issue Resolution & Escalation
- Troubleshoot transportation delays, capacity constraints, and service failures; partner with carriers and internal teams to resolve quickly.
- Lead communication during service disruptions, weather events, or operational risks that may impact customers or inventory flow.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve network efficiency, reduce transportation cost, and enhance service reliability.
- Support RFPs, network studies, and optimization initiatives in partnership with Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Maintain dashboards and reporting on transportation KPIs, carrier performance, and cost trends.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership for improved execution and strategic planning.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?
Main requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Blue Yonder, SAP TM, or Oracle TM.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, carrier operations, and freight modes (TL, LTL, intermodal, parcel).
- Advanced analytical skills; proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data modeling) required. • Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to lead discussions with carriers and cross-functional partners.
- Proven track record of operational execution, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- ASCM, CSCMP, or transportation-related certifications preferred.
