Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to fabricate and weld components using a variety of metals, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. This role involves working from blueprints and weld symbols to produce high-quality welds that meet structural and cosmetic standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic weld symbols
- Set up welding equipment, select proper filler materials, and adjust settings as needed
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and fitting components
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance standards
- Perform minor weld repairs or rework as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards
- Collaborate with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding
- Experience welding stainless steel required; experience with aluminum and carbon steel preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment
Preferred Skills:
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience with structural, cosmetic, or precision welding
- Basic fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, fitting)
- Experience working in a manufacturing or custom fabrication setting
