Job Title: Test Operators (2nd Shift)
Job Description

The test operator role involves supporting units for in-process and final testing, assisting with testing, training, and documentation. The primary responsibility is to perform testing on the electrical components of control panels using various tools and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance and quality in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on electrical components of control panels.
  • Utilize voltmeters and ohmmeters for testing.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose faults based on metrics.
  • Conduct compliance reporting using Excel.
  • Collaborate with electrical assembly technicians to resolve issues and suggest repairs.
  • Understand and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Assist in the build and manufacture of fixtures and tooling.
  • Operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in electronics, troubleshooting, and electrical testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics or prints.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC motor control and switchgear.
  • Understanding of electrical wiring and maintenance.
  • Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and hipot.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics, electromechanical, or electrical testing in manufacturing.
  • Technical, vocational, or associate's degree in lieu of hands-on experience.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Work Environment

The work environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, featuring an electrical assembly area with 11 cell stations and large working areas. It is a quiet and collaborative team environment with a current department size of 275 employees, expected to grow to 800 by the end of the year. Employees are required to wear composite toe or steel toe shoes with rubber soles, jeans or work pants, and t-shirts or polos. Large dangling jewelry, spandex, and base midriffs are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.32 - $23.32/hr.
