Job Title: Data Center Trainer
Position Type: Contract – 3 Months (Extension possible)
Location: Indianapolis, IN / Columbus, OH
Salary Rate: $35/hr - $45/hr (USD) on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Trainer (Learning & Development Consultant) to support the creation, implementation, and optimization of training programs across learning resources, curriculum development, and learning platform operations. This role will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive impactful learning strategies, improve knowledge transfer, and ensure training initiatives align with business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the creation and management of training programs in learning resources, content and curriculum development, and learning platform operations
• Partner with leadership to establish staff performance objectives and monitor progress
• Identify subject matter experts to develop training content and educational exercises
• Recommend effective delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer and learner engagement
• Build strong relationships with business partners, managers, consultants, and trainers
• Assess third-party training programs and audit trainers on delivery effectiveness
• Monitor course and training resource utilization to ensure department needs are met
• Stay current with learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices
• Manage communication and marketing plans for new courses and training updates
• Apply advanced principles and techniques to solve complex challenges and provide innovative solutions
• Coach team members and share expertise across multiple disciplines
• Lead by example and model values-driven behaviors in alignment with organizational standards
• Influence project, operational, and service activities across teams
• Communicate difficult or sensitive information effectively and professionally
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Proven ability to exercise judgment through analysis of multiple information sources
• Willingness to bring fresh perspectives to existing solutions and processes
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
• Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures
• Experience in training program development, curriculum design, or learning operations preferred
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills required, as the role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders, trainers, and business partners across teams
