Job Summary

As a Technical Support Engineer at OPT, you will play a pivotal role in bridging customer needs with our cutting-edge vision inspection technologies. You will be responsible for understanding customer technical requirements, conducting pre-sales feasibility studies, and providing end-to-end support—from initial consultation to post-sales troubleshooting. Your expertise will ensure our clients receive tailored, high-performance solutions that maximize their operational potential.


Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Team throughout the sales cycle to design and recommend optimal vision proposals, including cameras, lighting, optics, software, etc

• Technical Demonstrations: Design and execute in-lab tests, customer-site demonstrations, and presentations at trade shows, seminars, and industry events to showcase OPT’s capabilities.

• Post-Sales Support: Provide ongoing technical support to existing customers using tools like CRM, email, phone, and MS Teams. Troubleshoot issues on-site and deliver timely, effective resolutions.

• Customer Engagement: Travel to customer sites across the designated territory for pre and post-sales visits, ensuring seamless implementation and fostering long-term relationships.

• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.


Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine vision, industrial automation, technical support, or field service engineering. Applications from recent graduates majoring in related fields will also be considered.

• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with industrial cameras, vision lighting, lenses, and vision software. Familiarity with OPT products is a plus.

• Mindset: Customer-oriented with a proactive, responsible, and solution-driven attitude.

• Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
