About the Role

 

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support cross-functional projects within the Supply Chain domain, including Digital Merchandising, Inventory Allocations and Management, and Supply Chain Data & Analytics. This role will leverage established project management methodologies and tools to develop and execute technology project plans in alignment with our company's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Apply established project management methodologies/tools to successfully manage complex scopes of work, including defining work effort and estimates, creating team execution plans, addressing impediments, anticipating issues, and ensuring proper engagement of stakeholders to resolve problems.
  • Oversee financial management of projects, including budgeting & forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, EV/ROI/earn vs. burn analysis, team velocity, and more. Own the project budget and proactively anticipate, address, and adjust forecasts for potential budget issues.
  • Manage multiple complex projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Plan, monitor, and track quality control, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project quality control policies, procedures, and communication plans.
  • Communicate project progress and status to all stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, vendors, and technology managers.
  • Identify and anticipate strategic impacts, including interdependencies with other projects, and coordinate effectively with relevant parties.
  • Recommend project strategies and clearly communicate complex regulatory and project risks to team members and management.
  • Establish, motivate, and lead high-performance cross-functional teams.
  • Foster strong partnerships with developers, architects, QA teams, product managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to gather and analyze information, negotiate resolutions, and address issues impacting project timelines or deliverables.

Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (retail experience a plus).
  • Experience integrating systems across multiple platforms.
  • In-depth understanding and proficiency in project management methodology/tools, including SDLC practices for software development.
  • Proven expertise in project estimating, budgeting tools, story development, technical concepts, and defect tracking.
  • Strong capability in tracking and analyzing project metrics and trends.
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong team collaboration, facilitation, communication, and influence skills.
  • Ability to present clear and actionable project status information to all levels including executive level presentations.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to making recommendations, prioritizing actions, and driving results.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a drive toward execution; you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
  • Experience with merchandising systems, Oracle Retail, and other relevant retail technologies preferred.
  • Solid experience working with third-party vendors, including vendor management, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • This role requires being onsite in the office Monday through Thursday.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $120,000- $150,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
