Title: Senior Digital Analyst

Location: Laguna Beach, CA (3-4 days onsite each week).

Duration: Full Time/Permanent/Direct Hire

Should have experience/exposure to automotive digital

Level - this role can either be solely a Sr Analyst, or if they have been ppl managers, the title will be Sr Digital Analyst Manager, where they will take on a few direct reports.

Intake Summary:

Communication and articulation to senior leaders is the most pressing need.

Seeking a senior-level analytics professional with strong executive presence;

must be comfortable presenting to Directors, Senior Leadership, and CMO-level stakeholders.

Communication and storytelling are critical.

Heavy preference for digital media analytics experience, ideally within automotive.

Needs strong understanding of media planning, performance measurement, demand generation vs. demand capture, and channel mix (Search, Google, Meta, online video, CTV).

Open to both agency and in-house backgrounds.

Candidate can be an individual contributor or have light people leadership experience, but this is primarily a project-based analytics role.

Tech stack includes Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and Tableau - the candidate must be able to create solutions and build on these platforms - predominantly on Power BI and Tableau.

Strong Power BI build capability is important, including creating custom reports/workflows, Data Hub solutions, and DAX.

Team is 35 people.

Interview Process:

First screen with Mike + Account Director (client-readiness focus), 2nd - technical interview with Director (deep probing), followed by a 1-week take-home assignment to present to team.

Job Description:

Qualifications

8–10+ years of experience in digital analytics, business intelligence, marketing performance, or customer insights

Strong background in automotive, retail marketing, agency analytics, or OEM environments highly preferred

Advanced experience working with large data sets and performance reporting frameworks

Expertise in building dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or similar BI tools

Strong SQL skills with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data independently

Experience with attribution modeling, performance measurement, and conversion analysis

Strong storytelling ability - translating data into strategic business insights

Comfortable presenting analytics and recommendations to executive stakeholders

Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect multiple data points into meaningful trends

Preferred Experience

Automotive retail, dealership, or OEM digital ecosystem knowledge

Media performance analysis (paid search, paid social, display, etc.)

Statistical analysis or predictive modeling

Customer journey analysis and funnel optimization

Lead generation and CRM reporting analysis

Website analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)

Core Responsibilities

Act as the primary analytics partner supporting a national automotive client, providing strategic insights and performance recommendations

Evaluate key performance indicators across website engagement, lead conversion, media campaigns, sales funnel activity, and inventory movement

Develop recurring dashboards, executive-level reporting, and ad hoc performance analyses for business stakeholders

Identify patterns in customer acquisition, digital lead behavior, and sales attribution to improve conversion efficiency

Analyze traffic sources and campaign effectiveness to determine channel-level ROI and performance trends

Assess digital shopping behaviors and compare online engagement trends against actual purchasing outcomes

Provide insights into product demand, consumer preferences, and inventory alignment to improve campaign strategy

Present findings and strategic recommendations to both internal teams and client leadership

Partner with account teams to identify emerging trends, optimization opportunities, and market shifts

Build data narratives that simplify complex analytics into clear business decisions
