Our mission is to help creators protect their wealth so they can focus on their craft, and we are seeking a motivated Tax Preparer to join our team in our Nashville office.
Tax Preparer - What You’ll Do
- Tax Preparation: Work closely with the Managing Director and Financial Operations Lead to prepare complex federal and state individual, corporate (S-Corp/C-Corp), and partnership (LLC) tax returns.
- Multi-State Nexus: Manage multi-state filing requirements for touring clients performing in dozens of jurisdictions.
- Tax Planning: Assist the Managing Director and the Financial Operations Lead in year-end tax projections and estimated payment strategies for entertainers and high-net-worth individuals.
- IRS Correspondence: Draft responses to federal and state notices and assist with audit representation if necessary.
- Royalties & Incentives: Analyze royalty statements and ensure clients are maximizing industry-specific deductions (e.g., equipment depreciation, travel, and home studio expenses).
Tax Preparer Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of public accounting experience, specifically focused on tax preparation.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Lacerte, or UltraTax) and QuickBooks Online.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Tax Preparer Ideal Experience
- Familiarity with the unique financial lifecycle of touring and recording artists.
- Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-financial creatives in a clear, relatable way.
- Absolute commitment to client confidentiality and handling sensitive data for high-profile figures.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems.
- Analytical and strategic thinker.
- Passion for music is a massive plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Ability to Commute:
- Work Location: Most of the work will be done in person at our office location in East Nashville, with the option to work from home one day per week.
