Key Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Tax Preparer / Tax Advisor to support our growing client base with high-quality tax preparation and proactive tax planning. This role is integral to delivering coordinated retirement guidance — helping clients make smart decisions around Roth conversions, RMD strategy, charitable planning, and income planning.


The Tax Advisor will collaborate closely with the retirement planning and investment teams to align tax strategy with each client’s broader retirement blueprint. This is an in-office role with in-person client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual tax returns (with an emphasis on retirement-income complexity)
  • Support proactive tax planning strategies including:

o Roth conversion analysis and execution support

o RMD planning

o Social Security taxation strategies

o Charitable strategies (QCDs, donor-advised funds)

o Medicare IRMAA awareness

  • Maintain strong documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable tax rules
  • Communicate clearly with clients regarding tax outcomes and planning opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to integrate tax strategy into planning recommendations
  • Stay current on tax law changes and apply updates to client strategies

Qualifications

  • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) preferred
  • 3+ years of tax preparation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of individual tax planning, ideally within wealth management
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with a client-friendly approach
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage deadlines without sacrificing quality
