Tax Controversy Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Tax Controversy Attorney, preferably a current or former IRS trial attorney, to represent our high-net-worth clients in resolving complex civil and criminal tax disputes. In this role, you will handle all aspects of tax controversy at the administrative and litigation levels, including examinations, appeals, and collections. You will engage with federal, California, and local governmental entities.

  • Salary Range: $170,000 – $400,000, depending on experience, credentials, and a transferable book of business. (Provided in compliance with SB1162; actual pay may vary based on multiple factors.)
  • Collegial Work Environment: Given our firm’s emphasis on collaboration and mentorship, in-office presence is preferred.


Qualifications

  • Active membership in the California Bar
  • Competence in tax controversy matters
  • Strong advocacy skills
  • Experience handling tax disputes
