Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, performing bookkeeping services, and assisting clients with their accounting needs. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses (~ 200 returns expected for each employee--should provide current similar experience)
• Perform bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for clients
• Assist with payroll and sales tax filings as needed
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer questions
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or EA preferred, but not required)
• 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and tax preparation software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and client service skills
