We are a local Fort Collins Certified Public Accounting Firm with an opening for a staff accountant (CPA or CPA candidate). Position has the ability to grow into Tax Manager and eventually become a shareholder in the company. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven work environment. Ideal applicants will have proficient knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
Responsibilities:
· Preparation of income tax returns for individual, business, and fiduciary clients
· Tax planning with individual and business clients
· Consulting engagements
· Direct correspondence with clients
· Direct correspondence with federal and state authorities
· Work effectively with team members
Qualifications and Experience:
· One or more years of tax experience with a public accounting firm
· Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
· CPA license, eligibility to sit for the CPA exam, or working toward obtaining license
· Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
· Customer service skills
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to analyze complex matters
· Enthusiasm for work and eagerness to learn
Compensation:
All staff are paid hourly which includes overtime during tax season. This position is expected to earn $25-$50 per hour, based on experience. In addition to base pay, the Company provides a flexible work schedules, generous time-off, and Simple IRA.
