Job Title: Supply Chain Production Scheduler
Job Description

The Supply Chain Production Scheduler coordinates end-to-end supply chain activities, including production planning, co-manufacturing scheduling, inventory monitoring across a warehouse network, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role optimizes material flows between multiple locations, manages purchase orders and freight, and supports key supply chain functions to meet service, inventory, and performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan production materials across multiple locations and co-manufacturers to support efficient and timely production.
  • Process orders for co-manufacturers and multiple warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate materials movement between warehouses and production facilities to avoid shortages and delays.
  • Review material requirements planning (MRP) daily and manage transfers to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Create and manage purchase orders for offsite warehouse locations in alignment with production and inventory needs.
  • Manage freight across multiple warehouses, taking into account delivery requirements, lead times, and allergen requirements.
  • Identify requirements for order fulfillment, safety stock levels, and new product introductions, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Monitor aged, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory and ensure timely action to minimize waste and cost.
  • Optimize production planning with careful consideration of allergens, sanitization requirements, and changeover impacts.
  • Communicate regularly with Customer Care and update the OCR daily, or more frequently as changes and updates occur.
  • Coordinate and manage the cycle count program within each warehouse to support inventory accuracy.
  • Lead weekly scheduling review meetings with production, maintenance, and quality teams to align on plans and resolve issues.
  • Provide analysis and follow-up to ensure plant service levels, inventory targets, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
  • Serve as a critical backup for key roles within the supply chain to maintain continuity of operations.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily meetings to review performance, address issues, and adjust plans as needed.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of production scheduling experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause and continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions such as production, maintenance, quality, and customer care.
  • Experience in production planning, including coordinating materials and schedules.
  • Experience in inventory management within a multi-location or warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of production scheduling experience in total, with food or beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills are preferred, including the ability to build and manage complex spreadsheets and analyses.
  • Experience with Infor M3 or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Background in freight management and coordination across multiple warehouses is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with managing allergen considerations, sanitization requirements, and production changeovers is beneficial.
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site role, working Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position operates within a production and warehouse-focused environment that relies on ERP systems, Excel-based reporting, and close collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and customer care teams. The work involves regular participation in daily and weekly meetings, interaction with multiple warehouse locations and co-manufacturers, and hands-on coordination of materials, freight, and inventory activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
