Buyer/Scheduler

The Buyer/Scheduler supports integrated production and material planning by coordinating weekly schedules with raw material availability. This role ensures alignment between purchasing decisions, RM flow, production sequencing, and customer service expectations. The position works cross functionally to resolve daily plan/material conflicts and maintain a stable supply chain rhythm, while also performing key MRO activities such as acquiring essential materials and services.

This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Garland Shiloh Site at 701 Shiloh Road Garland, TX 75042.

  • Procurement of MRO parts, supplies, and services to support facility and equipment needs. 
  • Review MRP daily and order raw materials and packaging components. 
  • Build and manage weekly production schedules that incorporate RM availability and supply risks. 
  • Execute and monitor purchase orders supporting the production plan. 
  • Resolve material, capacity, and production conflicts within established site guardrails. 
  • Maintain integrated dashboards highlighting RM availability, schedule adherence, and service risks. 
  • Coordinate with Operations, Buyers, Analysts, and Transportation to support daily execution. 
  • Support CI activities that improve schedule stability, inbound RM flow, and inventory health. 
  • Communicate daily schedule updates and material risks to key stakeholders.
