Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prioritize and Scheduling of Production Orders
- Schedule Production Orders based on a daily / weekly basis across all production departments
- Ensure WOs are started in a timely manner
- Work with Department Managers to ensure WO start time stay as accurate as possible
- Correct / Adjust ERP when work schedules change
- Ensure Work Orders are completed and closed in a timely manner prior to shipment
- Resolve Work Order Problems
- Ensure issues with Production orders are being addressed ASAP to achieve expected production flow
- Ensure issues all employee clock in/out of work orders daily address any issues immediately
- Elevate problems or priority conflicts to Materials Manager as necessary to achieve expected production flow
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional workspace
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production planning, including developing and managing schedules and utilizing planning software.
- MRP and ERP Systems: Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize production.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to proactively identify and resolve production issues and disruptions.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the steel industry, including materials, processes, and supply chain dynamics, preferred, but not required.
