Commercial Banking and Lending Technology Services is seeking a Software Senior Engineer with responsibilities related to the Cross Sell Analytics suite of applications, which focuses on Microsoft technologies. Though the position is primarily looking for a candidate in Charlotte, NC region, other Wells Fargo locations will be considered.  Candidate will be asked to assist his teammates with production support, design, test and enhancement development activities using Agile development practices.  Core responsibilities will include data design and modeling, ETL process enhancement with PL/SQL as well as performance improvement analysis.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to contribute and lead design and development initiatives within a highly complex and cross-organizational business environment.  Candidate will maintain broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and collaborate with other key experts to ensure we are making the right technology choices for Wells Fargo.  Candidate will work closely with business partners to evaluate business requirements, write functional design specs and participate in efficient development, delivery and deployment.  Candidate is responsible for collaborating closely with teammates, DBAs, Web developers and interface partners as well as ensuring quality throughout the development life-cycle.  Participate as needed in compliance, risk, and regulatory processes within Wells Fargo.  RWF

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 8+ years of SQL experience
  • 8 + years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
  • 5+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience


Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of reporting environments and data structures
  • Knowledge and understanding of file formats, production processes and approaches for managing large volumes of data and repetitive editing tasks
  • Experience using SQL within a variety of database sources such as SAS, Oracle, or Teradata
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • C# experience
