The "CARS" team (Compliance Analytic & Reporting Solutions) provides Wells Fargo Compliance officers with a comprehensive set of value-added analytic, business intelligence, and reporting solutions, that are audience-specific, quality controlled, effectively distributed, linked via foundational taxonomies, created in a rapid development environment, and directly support identifying areas of compliance risk management improvement.

CARS is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence developer with knowledge of the suite of tools available under the broad heading of "Business Intelligence", such as SharePoint Designer, Microstrategy, Tableau, MS Power BI, MS SSIS, and MS SSAS. A qualified candidate should demonstrate both technical expertise in a minimum number of the listed business intelligence areas and a set of professional skills that enable the candidate to interact effectively in a matrix environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience


Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of technical documentation and publication experience
  • 5+ years of business intelligence experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience designing and running macros
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • Ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both visually and verbally
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings
  • Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data
  • Ability to manage technology development efforts for a major line of business
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to provide oversight and guidance on escalated issues
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational workflows process
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 5+ years of MicroStrategy experience
  • 5+ years of Tableau experience
  • 2 + years of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience
  • 2 + years of experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD's)
  • Intermediate SharePoint publishing skills
  • 2 + years of experience with SharePoint Designer workflows
  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of MS Power BI reporting development experience
  • 5+ years of Microstrategy reporting development experience


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
