The position is for a hands-on senior developer responsible for building data platform aligned to target state architecture. The successful candidate will be experienced in transformation of data platforms and has extensive experience in design and implementation of the large data platforms for operational and analytics use cases. The candidate should have hands-on experience in building fault-tolerant, scalable systems ground-up. Experience and focused on managing all aspects of the secure application development life cycle and ensuring code reviews, test driven development, test automation, continuous build/integration/deploy of the platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • 5+ years of business systems analysis or design experience
  • 4+ years of capital markets experience
  • 7+ years of technical design experience
  • 5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 5+ years of PL/SQL experience


Desired Qualifications

  • A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance
  • A professional certification in technology
  • Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience with Ab Initio products such as EME, Control Center, Metadata Hub, or Conduct IT
  • 3+ years of Spring experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
  • Ability to quickly and accurately execute tactical deliverables
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial products: exposure to fixed income securities, derivatives, and foreign exchange
  • 2+ years of experience with continuous integration development technologies such as IBM Udeploy, (UrbanCode Deploy), Jenkins, etc.
  • 3+ years of Autosys experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented. 
  • Excellent client interfacing skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Reference data is preferable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational work flows/processes for capital markets and investment banking, including industry participants.
  • Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex technology and data related issues




Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $98,000 Mid: $140,000 Max: $182,000
