Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Commercial HVAC & Plumbing Sales Representative for a mechanical services client supporting the DFW and San Antonio markets. This role is focused on new business development and account growth within commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate is a driven sales professional with strong technical aptitude, capable of building relationships, quoting service and equipment work, and owning their territory end to end. This is a highly visible role with strong earning potential, flexible schedule, and long-term growth within a growing service division.


Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with proven year-over-year production
  • Demonstrated work ethic, drive, and hunter mentality
  • Technical aptitude in mechanical systems
  • HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical preferred
  • Ability to understand HVAC/plumbing systems
  • Does not need to install equipment, but must understand how systems operate
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using CRM tools to track pipeline and sales activity
  • Comfortable with cold calling, route planning, and door-to-door prospecting
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
  • Ability to independently manage territory and hit sales targets

Plusses

  • Background in commercial HVAC or plumbing sales
  • Experience selling equipment change-outs or service-based work
  • Existing book of business that can be brought over
  • Experience in time & material service sales
  • Prior success selling into:
  • Hospitals
  • Data centers
  • Warehouses
  • Medical clinics
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Day-to-Day

  • Develop new business through cold calling, networking, and field prospecting
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer needs
  • Quote HVAC or plumbing service work and larger equipment projects
  • Negotiate pricing and close deals
  • Collaborate with internal technical and service teams
  • Track all sales activity, pipeline, and revenue in CRM
  • Generate 1–2 qualified bid opportunities per week
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed
  • Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
