About the Role
We are hiring a Territory Sales Representative to own and grow the Birmingham, AL territory. This is a field sales role focused on selling inspection and preventive maintenance contracts, repair services, parts, and capital project opportunities into manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and industrial accounts. You will work a defined book of existing customers while actively prospecting new business, supported by an established local service branch, a proven sales playbook, and a Sales Director who coaches in the field through regular ride-alongs.
What You'll Do
- Own revenue growth across your Birmingham territory: new business, inspection contracts, repair quoting, and capital project opportunities
- Conduct customer visits, plant walk-throughs, and business reviews with key accounts
- Quote and close repair and service work in partnership with the local branch and service team
- Grow recurring revenue through inspection and preventive maintenance contract sales and renewals
- Maintain pipeline, activity, and forecasting discipline in CRM (NetSuite)
- Partner with branch leadership, service operations, and engineering on larger opportunities including bridge cranes, modernizations, and installations
- Hit weekly activity and KPI targets: visits, quotes, and contracts sold
What You Bring
- 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, material handling, MRO, capital equipment, or a related technical field
- Track record of new business development and account growth within a defined territory
- Comfortable walking production floors, warehouses, and industrial job sites
- Strong CRM discipline and the ability to self-manage activity against a territory plan
- Hunter mentality balanced with the patience to build long-term accounts
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory
- Bachelor's degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
