About the job:

Akkodis is seeking a Service Desk Technician for a contract role based in Boise, ID (Onsite). This position will support end-user computing needs by providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization.

To be considered, candidates should have experience in end-user support, hardware troubleshooting, and working with tools like Active Directory, Intune, and Microsoft environments, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay Range: $20/hr. – $22/hr. on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Service Desk Technician responsibilities include:

  • Provide first and second level technical support, including acting as an escalation point for L1 technicians
  • Troubleshoot hardware and peripheral issues (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, A/V equipment)
  • Support and configure mobile devices and tablets using Intune and Duo
  • Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base
  • Assist with additional IT projects and operational tasks as required
  • Manage and resolve support tickets while ensuring timely communication with end users

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Provide L1 & L2 technical support and act as escalation point
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, A/V equipment)
  • Support mobile devices/tablets using Intune and Duo
  • Document solutions and update knowledge base
  • Assist with additional IT projects
  • Handle end-user support and issue resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Experience with Duo (authentication tool)
  • Exposure to ticketing systems / ITIL practices
