Job Description: Senior Technical Analyst / SME – FIS Imaging & Distributed Capture
Location: Jacksonville FL- Remote
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Individual Contributor to deliver and support FIS imaging and distributed capture solutions across multiple platforms, including Image Centre, Voyager, Chargeback Manager, Direct Link, CCX, FXD, DLM, and DLC.
This role combines responsibilities of a Technical Analyst and Project Manager for smaller engagements, while serving as the Lead Technical Analyst on large, complex, multi-product implementations. The ideal candidate will provide authoritative guidance, solution design, and escalation support for both clients and internal teams.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to work directly with US-based banking clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Delivery & SME Ownership
- Act as an SME for assigned FIS platforms, providing expert guidance, troubleshooting, and solutioning
- Deliver end-to-end imaging and distributed capture solutions across multiple products
- Support escalations and provide advanced issue resolution for clients and internal teams
- Lead technical design, configuration, and deployment activities
Project & Client Management
- Manage and execute small projects end-to-end as both Project Manager and Technical Analyst
- Serve as Lead Technical Analyst on large, cross-functional, multi-product implementations
- Gather and analyze client requirements; translate into technical solutions
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
- Manage scope, timelines, risks, and client expectations
- Lead client meetings, training sessions, and go-live activities
- Provide hypercare support during stabilization phases
Functional & Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of the financial services domain, particularly banking and payments
- Expertise in:
- Merchant and mobile distributed capture workflows
- Branch and teller capture processes
- End-to-end deposit lifecycle and exception handling
Experience with:
- Image Cash Letter (ICL) processing
- Duplicate detection
- Chargeback and return item processing
- Understanding of host integrations, banking ERP systems, and check clearing/remittance processes
Platform Expertise
- ImageCentre – Advanced SME level (installation, configuration, training, duplicate detection)
- Voyager – SME level (ICL processing, return item processing)
- Chargeback Manager – SME level (solution design and implementation)
- CCX / FXD – Merchant and mobile capture solutions (SME to advanced proficiency)
- DLM / DLC – Distributed capture lifecycle and configuration
- DirectLink – Product migrations, integrations, and enhancement projects
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL expertise (queries, troubleshooting, data validation)
- In-depth understanding of item processing systems
Expertise in:
- Sort patterns and logic configuration
- Deposit settlement and balancing
- Distributed capture environments
Experience with:
- Requirements gathering and gap analysis
- Technical solutioning and system integration
- Product migrations and add-on project delivery
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to present complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

Work Requirements
- Must be available to work US business hours
- After-hours and weekend support required for a minimum of 2 weeks post go-live for new client implementations
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for client engagements (installations, training, go-live support)
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Extensive experience with FIS imaging and distributed capture platforms
- Proven track record in banking technology implementations
- Experience working with US banking clients
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects
