Senior Tax Associate
Fort Worth, TX
$85,000 to $110,000
If you want more than just compliance work, this is where things start to get more interesting
A lot of tax roles talk about variety.
In reality, plenty still come down to getting returns out the door, while the more interesting planning and consulting work sits somewhere further up the chain.
This one gives you more than that.
An independent CPA firm in Fort Worth, TX is growing in the right way. Not by chasing volume for the sake of it, but by building a stronger mix of tax planning, consulting, and year round client work alongside the core compliance piece. That creates a genuine opportunity for someone at Senior level to get involved in more interesting work earlier, not years down the line.
You still need the fundamentals. That matters. But you will not just be sitting there preparing returns while the better conversations happen somewhere else. You will be closer to the client, closer to the advisory side, and in a much better position to grow into a broader role over time.
For someone who wants their career to keep opening up, that is a big part of the appeal.
It is also a smart time to have this conversation. Joining a new firm over the summer gives you the chance to get settled properly, build relationships, and head into the fall deadlines in a much stronger position.

If this resonates, apply. The button isn’t a marriage proposal it’s a conversation starter.
Only at ~87% of the spec? Perfect. Apply anyway. The CPA firms I work with want interesting, capable people, not carbon copies.
