Job Description

The Sr. Systems Analyst, HRIS serves as the strategic and technical lead for enterprise HR systems, owning complex configuration, optimization, integrations, and cross‑functional initiatives across HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll. This role designs, implements, and enhances HR technology solutions end to end, ensuring alignment with business needs, strong data integrity, and continuous improvement. The position requires deep HRIS expertise, advanced technical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders and lead projects from concept through deployment and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for one or more HRIS functional areas and platforms, including Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2, Infinite BrassRing, and Cornerstone OnDemand.
  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of complex HRIS solutions supporting end‑to‑end HR processes from hire to retire.
  • Evaluate system capabilities and recommend enhancements aligned with evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR technology, data governance, and overall system effectiveness.
  • Design and maintain advanced configurations, including workflows, eligibility rules, security structures, and system integrations.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex system, data, and interface issues with minimal business disruption.
  • Partner closely with IT to design, test, and monitor system interfaces and integrations.
  • Own HRIS initiatives including implementations, module rollouts, acquisitions, and system expansions.
  • Lead the full testing lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Deliver advanced reporting, analytics, and insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Establish reporting standards, data quality controls, and governance practices.
  • Mentor and provide functional leadership to HRIS analysts.
  • Support PeopleSoft security roles, permission lists, workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to optimize recruiting workflows and compliance in BrassRing.
  • Provide technical support for PeopleSoft Benefits administration.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including enhancements, issue resolution, and roadmap planning.
  • Ensure adherence to change control, quality processes, and audit standards.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10+ years of progressive HRIS experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Deep expertise in at least one major HRIS platform (PeopleSoft, BrassRing, or Cornerstone).
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end HR processes and the hire‑to‑retire lifecycle.
  • Advanced experience with system configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into effective system solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on data integrity.
  • Advanced reporting and data governance experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to read and write SQL, Visual Basic, and PeopleCode.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Experience working within structured change control and quality environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as an SME for Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2 Core HR and Benefits.
  • Experience with Infinite BrassRing recruiting processes and workflows.
  • Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand performance and compensation modules.
  • Experience in complex HR workflows, eligibility rules, and security models.
  • Experience leading large or complex HRIS implementations and expansions.
  • Strong cross‑functional partnership experience across HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll.
  • Experience mentoring or leading HRIS team members.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies in HR technology.

Work Environment

This role operates in a technology‑driven, enterprise HR systems environment supporting HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll functions. Work includes system configuration, integrations, testing, troubleshooting, and project‑based initiatives, with frequent collaboration across cross‑functional teams and vendors. A strong emphasis is placed on structured change control, quality processes, and continuous improvement in a fully remote setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00/hr.
