So, what does a Business Analyst, Enterprise Applications do?

A Business Analystbridges the gap between IT and business units, analyzing company-wide structures, processes, and technology to recommend improvements, implement strategies, and boost efficiency. They support the execution of enterprise software platforms and cross-functional technology initiatives. They also translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, support data-driven projects, and leverage technology to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis:Collect, clarify, and document business requirements, translating them into actionable, high-quality documentation.
  • Process Improvement:Study business functions to identify bottlenecks and develop strategies for enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Technology Implementation:Act as a liaison between business units and IT, assisting with the selection, development, and implementation of new technology, including AI/automation.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling:Utilize data modeling techniques to assess current company performance and create actionable, data-driven reports.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment of goals.
  • Testing & Quality Control:Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and conduct audits to ensure system improvements meet business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain controls and compliance, especially data governance
  • Support efforts to identify control improvements and advancements, provide recommendations and carry out implementation plans as required
  • Be a change agent. Collaborate with employees across all departments to identify and mitigate risks to the adoption of new processes and systems
  • Advise and support project teams to ensure that change management activities are incorporated into project plans and acted upon

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or IT-related roles
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, HRIS, or similar enterprise‑scale platforms is required. Direct knowledge of Microsoft of D365 F&O is a plus
  • A track record of supporting complex system implementations or upgrades is a plus
  • Experience with ITSM systems like DevOps or Jira is a plus
  • Project Management or related certifications is a plus (e.g., CAPM, CompTIA, PMP, CSM)
  • Proficiency with SQL, relational database tools, data visualization software is a plus
  • Knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to engage with senior leadership and cross functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
