MajorDuties

  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Management Plan, implement and coordinate execution, implementation, and maintenance of CNIC specific software applications with the region and at installation CY programs. Coordinates implementation schedules with vendors and IT support specialists. Ensure integration of system upgrades, and performs data clean-up and preventive maintenance, recommends preventative measures when warranted, coordinates end of year processes, and rates maintenance. Produce monthly, quarterly and year end reports and for regional and site managers as required for CNIC CYP specific software systems. Assists with training front line employees on the operation of CYP specific software applications using a variety of resources, systems, and application. Maintains documentation, instructs staff in use of management information systems. Develops and produces training materials, handbooks, and resources as needed. Troubleshoots hardware or software system problems as they occur and quickly repairs or directs the repair to on site employees. Primary point-of-contact for assistance and technical assistance who ascertains the extent of problems and initiates resolutions. Collects, reviews and prepares reports for regional and Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) reports and data calls. This includes development of reporting templates, verification of data accuracy, and analysis of data received. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of CYP programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Administrative Support Develops and implements regional CYP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective methods of data collection, storage, and management to support data integrity. Coordinates acquisition and inventory of a wide variety of both hardware and software used to support the operation of CNIC CYP specific software systems. Ensures the safeguard of Navy property reporting any shortages or misuse identified. Liaisons with staff and/or supporting functional offices, (e.g., IT, personnel, comptroller, office functions, procurement) to provide adequate and timely services in support of program operation. Communications Authors and/or reviews the preparation and publication of various reports, data calls, and evaluations, procedures, and other complex documents. Reviews and releases technical and administrative reports as required. Maintains liaison and communications with Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR), regional headquarters, Commander Navy Installation Command(CNIC), and echelons of higher authority, as applicable, through correspondence and personal contact

Education

Equivalent of 3 years' experience in professional management, business administration, database management, information systems management, and administrative experience that qualifies the person for the position. OR 2-year degree related to professional management, business administration, database management, information systems management, and administrative experience with 2 years of business administration, professional management, financial management, database administration and administrative experience. OR 4-year degree in the same fields with 1 year of professional management, financial management, and administrative experience.

Commander, Navy Installations Command is a Drug-Free Federal Workplace. The use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated, and use of or intoxication by illegal drugs will result in penalties up to and including removal from Federal Service. Marijuana is a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Substances Act and therefore use of marijuana is illegal under Federal law regardless of State laws. A positive drug test result for marijuana (or any other drug tested for) will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and ineligibility to apply for a position within the Department of Defense for 6 months from the date of the drug test. All individuals involved in the provision of child care services on a Department of Navy (DON) installation or in a DON-sanctioned program must complete the Installation Records Check (IRC).
