Senior Planner – Women’s Contemporary Apparel (NYC)


Overview

An established women’s apparel brand is hiring a Senior Planner to lead inventory and assortment planning across multiple sales channels. This role focuses on driving sales performance, managing inventory flow, and building structured seasonal plans while partnering cross-functionally across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage seasonal assortment and SKU plans aligned with sales and product strategies.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer demand, and market data to guide planning decisions.
  • Maintain balanced assortments across ecommerce, retail, and wholesale channels while managing inventory risk.
  • Oversee inventory levels and allocate product to optimize sell-through and profitability.
  • Support replenishment strategies for core products and identify in-season reorder opportunities.
  • Develop sales and inventory forecasts in line with business goals and historical performance.
  • Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Support pricing strategy and margin targets across product categories.
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional activity tied to key selling periods and product launches.
  • Monitor sales performance, inventory health, and key KPIs on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify risks and opportunities through data analysis and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with design, production, marketing, and ecommerce teams to ensure alignment across planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in planning, allocation, or inventory management.
  • Experience in apparel, fashion, or a lifestyle brand.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business decisions.
  • Experience working across DTC, wholesale, and retail channels.
  • Solid understanding of pricing, margins, and inventory management.
