Overview

COMPA Industries is seeking an experienced Work Control Planner 4 to support high-hazard nuclear facility operations at Los Alamos National Laboratory (TA-55).

This is a senior-level planning role responsible for developing complex work packages, supporting maintenance and operations planning, and driving improvements to work control processes within a highly regulated DOE environment.

This role is best suited for candidates with extensive nuclear or highly regulated facility planning experience who can operate with a high level of autonomy and technical expertise.


Minimum Requirements – Please Read Before Applying

To be considered, candidates must meet the following:

  • 12+ years of experience in work control planning, maintenance planning, or related field
  • Experience developing detailed work packages (labor, materials, procedures, safety requirements)
  • Experience in nuclear, DOE, or other highly regulated environments
  • Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
  • Willingness to work nights/weekends (4x12 schedule)


What You’ll Do

  • Develop, review, and execute complex work packages supporting maintenance, operations, and construction activities
  • Create detailed step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Resolve work constraints and drive work packages through final closure
  • Analyze performance data and support process improvements and program development
  • Maintain and utilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) to track and manage work
  • Support and mentor junior planners while ensuring compliance with Integrated Work Management practices


What We’re Looking For

  • Deep experience in work control planning within nuclear or high-hazard facilities
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Lockout/Tagout
  • Safety basis and hazard analysis
  • Maintenance and operations planning processes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Experience working with CMMS systems and performance tracking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams
