Asset & Demand Planning Specialist

Position Summary

The Asset & Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for executing day‑to‑day inventory asset management and demand planning activities across the Americas region. This role focuses on maintaining accurate demand signals, supporting inventory health, and coordinating with cross‑functional partners to ensure effective material availability and customer fulfillment.

The position operates as an individual contributor, emphasizing analysis, execution, coordination, and reporting rather than people management or strategic ownership.


Key Responsibilities

Asset & Inventory Management (Execution Focus)

  • Monitor inventory levels across finished goods, WIP, and components to support service level and operational targets.
  • Track aging, excess, and slow‑moving inventory and support mitigation actions identified by leadership.
  • Prepare data, analysis, and reporting for recurring asset and aging inventory reviews.
  • Support inventory adjustments, reallocations, and internal transfers as directed.
  • Maintain inventory data accuracy in ERP and planning systems.

Demand Planning & Forecast Support

  • Maintain and update demand forecasts based on inputs from Sales, Customer Care, and historical data.
  • Analyze demand trends, forecast variances, and customer patterns; escalate risks or gaps as needed.
  • Translate demand forecasts into supply requirements for planning and scheduling teams.
  • Support weekly and monthly demand review meetings through preparation of reports and analysis.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Care, Fulfillment, and Operations to align demand signals with inventory availability.
  • Coordinate with Mexico manufacturing and global planning teams on forecast updates and production alignment.
  • Support customer‑specific demand planning activities and regional initiatives as assigned.

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Lifecycle Support

  • Support NPIs by assisting with demand projections, component readiness tracking, and material planning inputs.
  • Help coordinate component kits and build readiness for new and transitioning products.
  • Assist with phase‑in and phase‑out activities to minimize inventory risk.

Reporting, Data & Process Support

  • Prepare and maintain inventory, demand, and KPI reports for leadership review.
  • Identify data discrepancies and support corrective actions to improve forecast and inventory accuracy.
  • Follow established planning and asset management processes and contribute improvement suggestions when identified.
  • Support audits and documentation requirements related to inventory and planning activities.


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory control, supply chain planning, or related roles.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and demand planning fundamentals.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP or planning systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
  • Supports decision‑making through data, reporting, and coordination
  • Works within defined processes, escalating issues and risks as appropriate
