Senior Operations Manager



  • Oversee daily operations of an 80,000 sq. ft. distribution and fulfillment facility near Moonachie, NJ, ensuring efficient inbound, outbound, inventory control, and pick/pack operations across the warehouse
  • .Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 45 warehouse associates, leads, and supervisors while promoting a culture of accountability, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • .Drive operational performance through the implementation, monitoring, and analysis of KPIs related to productivity, order accuracy, fulfillment speed, labor utilization, inventory accuracy, shipping performance, and overall warehouse efficiency
  • .Develop and implement process improvements to streamline warehouse workflows, improve throughput, reduce errors, and increase overall operational performance in a fast-paced pick and pack environment
  • .Maintain a strong hands-on leadership presence on the warehouse floor, providing guidance, coaching, problem resolution, and operational support as needed
  • .Manage fulfillment operations for customer orders, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective processing and shipment of products
  • .Oversee staffing, scheduling, labor planning, and workforce allocation to meet daily operational demands and seasonal volume fluctuations
  • .Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, operational expenses, and productivity initiatives while identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • .Utilize Excel and spreadsheet reporting tools to analyze operational data, generate reports, track trends, and support decision-making processes
  • .Partner with senior leadership to establish operational goals, performance expectations, and strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives
  • .Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, safety standards, and warehouse best practices while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • .Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, transportation, inventory control, purchasing, and other departments to ensure smooth operational execution and high customer satisfaction
  • .Monitor inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts, receiving processes, and shipping functions to maintain operational integrity and minimize discrepancies
  • .Identify training and development opportunities for team members while building leadership capabilities within the operation
  • .Foster an ownership mentality throughout the operation by encouraging initiative, responsibility, problem-solving, and proactive decision-making at all levels of the warehouse team
  • .Prior experience managing warehouse operations within a pick and pack fulfillment environment is required
  • .Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team-building skills required
  • .Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience utilizing KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance improvements
  • .Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse reporting systems required
  • .Experience managing budgets, labor planning, and operational cost controls required
  • .Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment while effectively balancing strategic oversight and day-to-day operational execution
